Asseco will implement AUMS Digital in the largest Serbian energy company

The quality of customer service is one of the key factors which determines the competitive advantage of companies, also from the energy sector. Creating positive experiences, taking care of details in contact with customers and providing them with comfort in the use of services are the basis for building long-lasting business relations. This is why the largest state-controlled energy company in Serbia – Javnopreduzeće Elektroprivreda Srbije (ENP JP) – has decided to launch an electronic customer service office based on the Asseco – AUMS Digital platform. Thus, Asseco will implement it for the first time in a foreign company from the utilities sector.

The project will be implemented over a period of one year by the consortium of Asseco Poland S.A., Asseco SouthEastern Europe d.o.o. Beograd and Chip Card a.d. Beograd.

The implementation of AUMS Digital is aimed primarily at improving the quality of customer service, offering new products, carrying out modern integration with many different IT systems used by customers and making a decisive step towards building a two-speed architecture (BIOMODAL).

The main task of AUMS Digital is to integrate the products of the energy companies with the services of external partners, also from outside the energy sector. This ensures an increase in sales and gives the opportunity to expand the offer. It is worth noting that AUMS Digital is a fully open platform, which can be developed independently by customers and other suppliers, since the source code of mini-applications used in it is available and fully documented, said Tomasz Bendlewski, Director of the Energy and Gas Division, Asseco Poland.

Asseco AUMS Digital allows energy companies to implement their omni-channel strategy and to offer their customers products and services through various channels of contact, and to include them in the operation process, thus optimizing and automating various other processes. All of this ultimately translates into greater efficiency of the entire company’s operations.

Thanks to our experience and competencies, Asseco has been a reliable technological partner of most energy companies in Poland for many years. This gives us a solid basis to launch our offer also in international markets, added Tomasz Bendlewski.

The contract in Serbia is Asseco’s another foreign implementation in the energy sector. Earlier, the company implemented a project in Ethiopia, where it delivered a comprehensive IT system for data-reading management based on Asseco Utility Management Solutions (AUMS). It was the largest IT implementation ever carried out by a Polish company in Africa, and it was implemented in cooperation with the Ethiopian government agency Information Network Security Agency (INSA).

Asseco Poland is the largest Polish IT company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). For over 25 years it has been developing technologically advanced software for companies and institutions in key sectors of the economy. It is currently the largest IT company in Central Europe and the sixth largest software producer in Europe. It is the leader of IT solutions for the energy sector in Poland. It also develops its activities in international markets. Asseco’s systems support all processes related to managing the use of electricity by trading companies, energy distributors and customer service companies.
